Volunteer

It is time for us to roll up our shirt sleeves and plan to spend as much time as we can spare at this year's Hispanic Wellness Fair which is scheduled for Saturday, August 14, 2010. The doors will open to the public at 9:00 a.m. and will close at 2:00 p.m.

The Hispanic Wellness Fair is designed to disseminate information about available health services in the Tarrant County area and to provide screenings for health risks, and back-to-school immunizations for children. Your participation will ensure the success of this year's event and have a tremendous impact on our community. As a volunteer, you will assist in some of the screening services, translating if you are bilingual in Spanish, handing out information, registering volunteers, filling out forms, and setting up and breaking down booths. This is your opportunity to make a difference in the lives of people seeking to improve their health and access to healthcare. In its eleventh year, the Hispanic Wellness Fair is a Fort Worth and Tarrant County community event with over 15,000 - 20,000 participants attending. If you can give some time, please sign up here or contact one of the volunteer coordinators. You are also invited to participate in the wellness fair once your shift is completed. Bring your family, your friends, and your neighbors!
